Sara Alwin

I have been in the hair industry for over 20 years and educating for 18+ years with luxury international hair care manufacturers. As an educator, it has opened many doors of opportunity, for example, educating on stage at high-energy hair shows, teaching at beauty academies, and visiting salons to hold private in-salon classes. Over the years, I’ve created four color collections with Surface Hair and developed color placements and education programs for stylists. I’ve been published in BeautyLaunch Pad magazine and involved with many hair photoshoots. I always have had a passion for sharing the latest in hair trends, so I’ve since started an education audience at Alwin Beauty Cult.

Currently, I own Alwin Anthony Salon, located in The Alwin, located in historic Grayslake, IL. I love this little town and have been President of the Grayslake Exchange Club. Overall, I continue to work with my staff and boutique studios on the latest and greatest in the hair industry. I’ve also worked hard for an Associate’s degree in the Arts, which has also helped me apply aesthetic theory to my work. I am passionate about what I do. I thrive on making people feel better about themselves and helping guests to embrace change.
