Alwin Anthony Salon Gives Back
Grayslake, March 2, 2015: Local Salon gives back to community and environment with involvement and goal setting.
A small corner side salon does more than just hair. Alwin Anthony, located at 250 Center Street in Historic Downtown Grayslake, strives to be involved and feels they owe it to their guests.
Several donations go out to the neighboring schools and organizations each year to help support the community. In addition, the Oasis Youth Center and The Exchange club of Grayslake welcome Alwin Anthony into their realm of municipal involvement. With March in full swing, the salon is looking forward to participating in the St. Baldrick’s event held at The Vine Wine and Martini Bar. Their valued stylists will donate their time to shave heads in the spirit of strength and support.
Moreover, Alwin Anthony has big plans for the month of April. They have set a goal to sell sixteen soy based custom candles before April comes to a close. Once that amount is sold, they will plant a tree with the help of Plantmemorialtree.com. What’s more, for every one Surface Curls Smoothing Cream sold, they will donate one dollar to the Arbor Day Foundation.
Alwin Anthony is proud to call Surface Hair their main product line because of the work they do for others. Surface gives 10% of profits to World Vision with every one product sold in efforts to help make this world a better place one step at a time. Surface is kind to the environment as well, using only vegan and naturally derived ingredients in their products.
You can find Sara Alwin Gallagher, owner and her staff in the Grayslake Days parade every summer and at numerous other events like the tree lighting ceremony in December.
